Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have separated after nearly two decades together. The Oscar-winning actress, 58, and the country music star, 57, have reportedly been living apart since the beginning of the summer.
Sources close to the family say that Kidman’s sister, Antonia, and the wider Kidman family have been a strong support system during this difficult time. “She didn’t want this,” a source added. “She has been fighting to save the marriage.”
The couple married in June 2006 and share two daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14. Kidman was previously married to Tom Cruise.
While the split marks the end of a high-profile union, both Kidman and Urban appear focused on maintaining stability and support for their children as they navigate this personal transition.
On June 25, Kidman marked the couple’s wedding anniversary with a heartfelt Instagram post, sharing a photo of herself cuddled up with Urban. She captioned the image, “Happy Anniversary Baby @KeithUrban.”
In the months that followed, Kidman, who recently completed filming Practical Magic 2 in London, posted snapshots of “summer memories” on Instagram, highlighting time spent with her daughters and extended family. Meanwhile, Urban has continued his music tour, with his next performance scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 2, in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
In April 2024, Kidman spoke about the strength of her family support system, describing it as “lovely.” She reflected on her relationship with Urban, saying, “I’m so lucky that I have Keith, who’s just my love, my deep, deep love. That gives me the ability to go and do whatever I have to do because I know where I can come back to.”
