Kieran Culkin’s wish has officially come true.
The Succession star and his wife, Jazz Charton, are preparing to welcome their third child, more than a year after Culkin publicly asked for “more kids” during his Emmy Awards acceptance speech.
The couple revealed the happy news on Sunday, Sept. 28, when they attended the opening night of Waiting for Godot on Broadway in New York City. Charton, glowing in a chic ensemble that showcased her baby bump, was photographed alongside her husband, who proudly rested his hand on her stomach as they posed for the cameras.
Culkin, 42, and Charton, 37, are already parents to daughter Kinsey Sioux, 6, and son Wilder Wolf, 4. The new addition will make them a family of five.
The pregnancy announcement comes after a string of memorable awards-season moments where Culkin made his desire for a bigger family known. At the 2024 Primetime Emmy Awards, when he won outstanding lead actor in a drama series for his role as Roman Roy on HBO’s Succession, he thanked Charton from the stage — and used the spotlight to make a heartfelt, if playful, request.

“And Jazz, I want more,” Culkin said at the time, addressing his wife in the audience. “You said maybe, if I win!” His candid plea, met with laughter and applause, quickly went viral, cementing the moment as one of the night’s highlights.
The actor echoed the sentiment months later at the 2025 Academy Awards, where he took home his first-ever Oscar for his performance in A Real Pain. During his acceptance speech at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, Culkin reminded Charton of her earlier promise.
“[Jazz] said, ‘I will give you four [children] when you win an Oscar,’” Culkin told the crowd, before adding with a sheepish grin, “No pressure. I love you. I’m really sorry I did this again. And let’s get cracking on those kids. What do you say?”
Speaking to reporters backstage after the Emmys, Culkin admitted he had been campaigning for more children long before his public appeal. “I’d been asking for a while,” he said, revealing that Charton once joked she might consider it if he won a major award. “When I won the Globe, I reminded her of what she said. She didn’t remember, but then it all came back to her — and she spent the whole week being nervous.”
The actor, however, was quick to clarify that the couple wouldn’t be naming their next child after an award. “I wouldn’t name it Emmy, or whatever other cute little thing,” he quipped.
For Culkin, who has long been vocal about his love for family life, the upcoming arrival feels like a full-circle moment — proof that sometimes persistence, humor, and a little bit of awards-season magic can pay off.
