Paris Hilton lashes out at mean online comments about son’s head: “He just has a large brain”

Fame often comes with glitz and glamour—red carpets, fortune, and a place among society’s elite. But life in the spotlight also means relentless scrutiny.

Paris Hilton knows this all too well.

Recently, the heiress-turned-businesswoman faced a darker side of fame when internet trolls cruelly mocked her infant son’s appearance. In 2023, Hilton was forced to defend her 9-month-old, Phoenix Barron, after negative comments about his head size surfaced online.

True to her reputation for confidence and resilience, Paris stood firm—protecting her firstborn with the same fierceness that built her empire.

Paris and her husband, Carter Reum, welcomed Phoenix via surrogate—marking their first child together. (Carter also shares a daughter, Evie, from a previous relationship.) As new parents, the couple has embraced the highs and lows of parenthood with love and devotion.

During a family trip to New York, Paris shared a sweet photo of herself holding Phoenix. But instead of celebrating the tender moment, some online commenters unleashed a wave of cruelty. Remarks about the baby’s head size quickly surfaced, with one user writing, “Man got a lot of thoughts up there,” while another added, “I heard this baby was created in a lab. And she didn’t carry it.”

What should have been a joyful snapshot was tainted by harsh judgment.

Paris didn’t stay silent. Addressing the cruel remarks, she defended her son with a pointed response: “There are some sick people in this world. My angel is perfectly healthy. And yes, of course he has been to a doctor—he just has a large brain.”

She also shared how deeply loved Phoenix is within her family: “[My parents] are just so obsessed with him. I’m always calling my mom and my sister [Nicky Hilton] for advice, and I’m really lucky that I’m so close with my family, so I have such a big support group.”

This incident is a stark reminder that even celebrities are not shielded from online cruelty—and children should always be off-limits. Despite the hurtful comments, Paris’s decision to speak out highlights both her resilience and the unconditional love she has for her son.
