Bret Baier’s “Rapper’s Delight” moment captured widespread attention when a video surfaced of the Fox News anchor confidently taking the stage and performing the 1979 Sugarhill Gang classic. Dressed casually in a button‑down shirt and khakis, Baier not only rapped and danced, but also inserted a playful plug for his show, saying:
“Fox News Channel, you should watch 6 pm, Special Report. It’s really good, very fair, very balanced, very fair.” the unexpected side of the usually serious news anchor, calling him a “renaissance man,” while colleagues and public figures chimed in with encouragement.  Some users even suggested this should become a regular opening for his show.

Though it may have stunned many viewers, Baier has precedent for musical performances. In past events — including a Fox News holiday party — he’s joined the Sugarhill Gang in performances of “Rapper’s Delight,” showing that this latest moment was more an extension of a playful side than a sudden stunt.
