A public school teacher in Canada has been placed on suspension after reportedly showing the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk multiple times to students as young as 10, according to a report from the Toronto Sun.
The incident occurred at Corvette Junior Public School, when the teacher played the video in response to a student’s question about Kirk’s death. Multiple students went home visibly upset and told their parents about the disturbing footage they were shown repeatedly.
“Several students from his class went home and complained to their parents, traumatized at witnessing the on-camera death, which they were forced to witness numerous times over,” a source close to the situation told the Toronto Sun. Parents subsequently contacted school administrators, prompting the teacher’s leave, which began on September 12, 2025.

She confirmed that the teacher involved has been “relieved of all teaching responsibilities pending the outcome of the investigation and will not be at the school.”
The Toronto District School Board is offering counseling services to any students affected by the video.
Koptie added, “The video is believed to have been shown once by a staff member supervising the class who is not the homeroom teacher. While an investigation must still be conducted to learn all of the details, the report of this incident is extremely troubling and completely unacceptable. We recognize the seriousness of this matter and have taken immediate steps to follow all appropriate policies and procedures.”
The episode comes amid a wave of accountability actions in the U.S., where educators, journalists, and other professionals have lost their jobs for publicly celebrating or condoning Kirk’s assassination. “We are writing to inform you about an incident that is reported to have taken place in your child’s class yesterday. During class, students were said to have been shown a portion of a violent video in response to questions being asked about a recent tragic event in the United States,” Koptie wrote, as reported by the Toronto Sun.
On Friday, Utah Governor Spencer Cox revealed that the alleged shooter of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk had inscribed one of his bullets with the message, “hey fascist, catch.”
In response, the Republican National Committee (RNC) shared a social media thread highlighting numerous instances in which prominent Democrats have labeled former President Donald Trump as a fascist or Nazi.
The RNC’s compilation included remarks from former Vice President Kamala Harris, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, and Representatives Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York and Jasmine Crockett of Texas, the latter of whom reportedly referred to Trump as “Temu Hitler.”
Charlie Kirk, a pivotal figure in former President Trump’s campaign last fall, was arguably his most prominent and influential advocate outside of government circles.
