Legendary actress Goldie Hawn is mourning the passing of her longtime friend and co‑star, Diane Keaton, who died on October 11, 2025, at the age of 79. The two had shared decades of friendship, including their collaboration on The First Wives Club (1996).
Hawn posted a deeply emotional tribute on social media, reflecting on their bond and the moments they shared. She described how, during filming, their days would begin together in the makeup trailer with coffee and laughter—“a roller coaster of love.” In the post, she also recalled a promise they had made: to “grow old together, and one day, maybe live together with all our girlfriends.” Though they didn’t fulfill that dream, Hawn said they did grow older together, and she added wistfully, “Maybe in the next life.”
Hawn’s tribute praised Keaton’s humility and talent, saying she “never liked praise,” yet left behind “a trail of fairy dust, filled with particles of light and memories beyond imagination.” She expressed how deeply she will miss her friend and offered condolences to Keaton’s children, Dexter and Duke (sometimes referred to as Dex).
