“Democrats own this,” the South Carolina Republican claimed. Police say the suspect remains at large.
WASHINGTON — Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) on Wednesday baselessly placed blame on Democrats for the fatal shooting of conservative activist Charlie Kirk at an event in Utah.
“Democrats own this,” Mace declared on Capitol Hill. “Democrats own this.”
When pressed by HuffPost to explain her comments, the South Carolina Republican responded, “I mean, give me a fucking break. This guy’s talking about mass trans violence, tranny violence — I’m not going to filter myself — and got shot in the neck like that.”
As of now, authorities confirm there is no suspect in custody following the shooting, which occurred during an event at Utah Valley University in Orem.
